Naomi Bar-Lev was raised in San Diego's 53rd District
(before the latest gerrymandering) and is a graduate
of Patrick Henry High School. She is also a graduate
of U.C.L.A. with a degree in Economics (1993) and has
attended the M.B.A. program locally at San Diego State
University.
She obtained her real estate license while attending
U.C.L.A. and later her real estate broker's license
when she started her own company in 1996. For the last
12 years she has been involved in construction and restoration
of a number of properties in the district.
In April 2007, Naomi went to Washington D.C. with
Roger Hedgecock’s “Feet to the Fire XII”
effort (an effort to lobby representatives to abandon
the Amnesty Bill and defend U. S. Border Patrol agents).
It was on this trip that Naomi witnessed first-hand
the disconnect between Congressional representatives
and the citizenry. She decided at that time to run
for Congress and give the citizenry true representation.
